Telecom operator Robi today introduced robots for customer service to get advanced artificial intelligence calculations along with user management and communications support.
The mobile operator inaugurated the service -- Robi-service bots, an intelligent humanoids robot powered by a robust cloud-based artificial intelligence platform -- at a ceremony at the Experience Centre of Robi Corporate Office in Dhaka.
With the private cloud system, Robi will get advanced artificial intelligence (AI) calculations along with user management, communications support, remote hardware control, data storage and more, said a release of the mobile operator.
Robi presented the robots while it’s managing director and chief executive officer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed along with some top executives of the operator was present at the occasion.
They said the Robi-service bots are designed for deployment at Robi’s designated sales and service centres that need to deliver high-quality services to customers and users without the need for human interactions.
These humanoids are perfectly suited and capable of ushering in a new era of service excellence for the technology service providers, fintech, retail, healthcare, hospitality and other services sectors, they added.
